Auto-Sleepers British Bodyboard National Championships 2009

Jersey Bodyboarders club members put in good performances at the Auto-Sleepers British Bodyboard National Championships, with Simon Watkins taking 3rd place in the Masters Division and Colin Crowther 4th. Crowther also came close to causing an upset too, when he just missed out on advancing to the Senior final too.

After succesfully negotiating the semi finals Watkins and Crowther surfed well in the final, with Watkins getting off to a good start performing 6 spins and a roll on a long left hander. Crowther picked off some good rides too, with two reverses and a roll on one left and a reverse and roll on another. In the end the locals boys Eldred Hawk and Dan Catten proved too strong, with Catten taking the honours.
